Thanks, Nick!

Two 15 minute studies from class yesterday that I wanted to share. Both are 9x12 and are done in Acrylics. I was really on a roll with these once I figured out a technique that's good for quick studies like these.

I do a really thin wash with the acrylic in a base color, then I paint in part of the background, but leave some of the wash unpainted, so that I can figure out the placement of the model on the page. Then, I paint in the mid-tones, the lights, and the darks (not always in that order) in block form. I probably could go back and touch these up and what not with further details, but I like the way they are now as quick studies.
